If you join a Medicare Advantage Plan during this period but change your mind, you can switch back to
Original Medicare or change to a different Medicare Advantage Plan (depending on which coverage
works better for you) during the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (January 1 – March 31).
If this is your first time to enroll in a Medicare Advantage Plan and you have had a Medigap plan, you are
guaranteed the option to re-enroll in the plan in the first 12 months.
